Briliant? I don't think so. Cos at least it heapen because the ukrain politicans in 1980's try to bild the nuclear plant much and much cheaper, it was the biggest problem. The nucler plan is much more environment protectively then coal firiing. A treated nuclear plant is environment protective, the emphasys is treated.

All forms of power production are dangerous, In the US more than 100,000 people have died mining coal which is used primarily for the production of enegy. Nuclear power is more economical, safer, and less polluting.

Actually most reactors are full proof. The only reactor problems we have had (out side of experimental reactors) was because of human error (such as 3 mile island). They are full proof because they are designed so if they get to hot, the nuclear reaction is automatically shut off. In order to change this you would have to change the laws of physics. Chernobyl was a horribly designed reactor and there is 0% chance of that happening to any water moderated reactor in existence.

I agree with you that nuclear power is the safest and environmentally friendly power source available to us. However I think the reactor was poorly designed, and it blew up largely to human error: 1) It used a graphite moderator instead of water. 2) USSR hid a design flaw (graphite tipped control rods: classified) 3) The operators removed most of the control rods from the reactor 4) Then the operators performed a test and cut power to the cooling system (water pumps). Then it blew up.

I cannot say i agree with this video OK Chernobyl engineers screwed up but nuclear power is really the safest and environment friendly sorts of power. Shure Chernobyl blew up but its not because of a poor design. Its because the power plant was constructed hasty and the initial tests ruined the reactor .... So watch it with the nonsense about nuclear power OK ?????.....

yeah that reacter was an old rbmk reactor useded along time ago, they could have gotton a more modern reactor,secondly why did they not give them proper protection???? thousands of ukrainion children now have to suffer because of the stupidity of nuclear, we have A LOT more cleaner and safer forms of energy. If there is one mistake thousands,mabey millions can suffer.

Because your a 'super power' nation does not mean your stable, in fact its usually the opposite. Many great nations have fallen at the hieght of their power. I personally never liked the USSR, it seemed like a 'knock off' nation, where only the rich were equals.

Chernobyl was a disaster. How's stating the obvious brilliant. There is no comparison between reactors made today and the type used in Chernobyl, however, there is alway a chance for mistakes and accidents.
