The border between "Psymbient" and downbeat progressive, is sometimes paper thin and hard to put your finger on. Mostly Psychedelic down beat contains strange tweakings of sounds, twisted samples etc. Dancing with kadafi has downbeat Psychedelic in it, or try Eat Static, some of their tracks are quite downbeat but still contains alot of psychedelia. :D Nowadays it's up to the artist to label themselves either mainstream or Psychedelic depending on their fanbase.

Full on is far from the most agressive type of psytrance... Darkpsy/Forest Psy is the most agressive, if not Soumosaundi. But full on is a bad example of psytrance imo because most of the music today is commercialised. A good example of psytrance is Hallucinogen (the earlier works), Older Infected Mushroom tunes are all right as well, But yeah its hard to put your finger on, imo all psy sounds good.

It´s easy little princess! The psytrance has much more power in the bass lines and in the beats (bpm). Psytrance is also much more agressive. But is cool!! :) - DOWNLOAD THE SONG "THE BEAST WITHIN" FROM XEROX AND ILLUMINATION, THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I´M TALKING ABOUT...THE RHYTHM IS CALLED FULL ON DARK, THE MOST AGRESSIVE SUBTYPE OF PSYTRANCE.

Could somebody tell me what the difference between psychedelic and progressive is? It may be a shame but I don't know... Anyway, it's nice music :)
