*cont* which just makes Zappa's arguments about how this censorship is just about 'words' hit much closer to home. I've never heard Zappa's music but I think he shows great character, even if to some, he lost the debate. I don't even see a debate here...I see two debaters, one moderator, and (Zappa) one giving an argument. Where Zappa tries to show 'truth' the 'debaters' (Novak and Lofton) try to prove their argument regardless of truth. Zappa kept cool while the rabid Lofton foamed at the mouth

I love how Lofton tries to justify his idea of censorship by passing legislation and completely caught off guard by one of the commentators. He naively thinks that just because words have been put into legislation it will magically make everything a little better, forgetting that our government works in a bureaucracy and SOMEONE has to be in charge of listening to this 'immoral' music and judging what is 'obscene' and what is not for us. Lofton really showed us how naive and stupid he really is.

A true testament to anti-censorship, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention is still the only band to get an "Explicit Lyrics" warning on an instrumental album. "Words" - Frank Zappa

I agree. I am a "kid" that has actually payed attention to what is going on and I've geared toward the right wing Republican side.
