AION - Live 1992

AION playing the song "AION" from 1992. Just to clear this up: The name of this song (and album that it comes off of) uses the kanji for 愛(ai) meaning "love" and 音(on) which means sound/music/noise....combined together they don't really make a "word" but phonetically would be pronounced "AION" and would roughly mean something like "love sounds" or "love music"

i find your statement absolutely true. they have their own playing style which labels them as their own individual. Akria as Akira and Izumi as Izumi. the part about the Izumi making the most interesting melodies..i have to give it to em. he does.

Izumi has his own style, which is really more important, he is not technically better than Akira, but if you listen to 20 random guitar solos in a row, and throw in one by Akira and one by Izumi...you will definitely be able to tell which one is Izumi. I also think Izumi wrote more interesting melodies...listen to songs like Peter V (from AION) or Killing Land (from MA-G-MA)

ahhh i get you man. both styles are a lot different. which is nice bc they have their own originality. but i personally say that Takasaki is still my fav our of the two. there's just something about his playing makes him different than most guitarists. Over all i love them both no hate there. Cheers to both badass guitarists

You can't. Both are really awesome guitar players. Though Takasaki has practiced a lot more his speed, Izumi invented his own Picking, so he can double anyone speed. Now, on my OWN thoughts, i like Izumi a lot more. He's amazing! all Aion songs were composed by him and they even released 3 full albums in 1 year (about 40 songs). So... my point is, i love Izumi, he's classic, perfect, and his technique amazes me!

hmm..how would you compare..Izumi or Akira Takasaki

The japanese chords are more difficult, huh? From where did you get that? I don't think japanese have any more brain for music than we others do. It depends on the individuals who make the music, not on the country the musicians come from. And for adding classical to the music, it isn't only happening in japan. For example many metal bands add classical to the music. Not only japanese. And if you're thinking VK is unique, think again.

you have a point.but in music we have standards,in the depends on how you compose plus any factor that make it unique, also consider the level of musicality.thats why theres a crappy music like karaoke type were it used to sound in very simple melody, and monotonous beat.dude if you learn conservatory music you can separate good, poor, standard, annoying etc music.now my point is just compared to other bands japanese bands goes with difficult cords, and some of them also add classical sound.get it?

I'm afraid you're wrong. It depends on the person who's listening to the music. Japanese aren't any more talented than the people in the other countries. If the japanese music is in your opinion different and you like it, it doesn't make the music better. It only depends on the listener. That's why there can't be anything we would call "the best band in the world". Get it?

maybe theyre not,but theyre producing much better music and bands.
