Hmmm I know what you are saying here, and whilst it IS a valid point, contextually within western society if someone asks if you believe in 'god' there are most probably implicating the question of whether or not you are Christian. Unfortunately most people don't have the free thinking capabilities to decide on what there god is and often follow what there parents/'systems' impose (private schools etc).

"Religion is based on acting good. Good thing." It is based on following a set of beliefs, a lot of which do not fall into the normally accepted realm of "good".

"Religion" never save anyone! Only JESUS CHRIST saves! Separate Him from "religion",which is all man-made" But if you don't need religion, than you don't need the bible, and if you don't need the bible, who is to say that Jesus is the Lord?

rip georgey. people are still argueing about this, which I find funny. hype: "People really need to step out of their bubbles and take a look at religion from a different perspective. " right on. however, people were raised to believe in religion because their parents did. therefore, they wont change their perspective. ignorance is bliss.

I used to believe that, wordhype, but then I realized that they may need religion to feel secure. So, then I decided, "you religious zealots!...You can keep your security issues to yourselves!"

I think a lot of people here are missing the point... People really need to step out of their bubbles and take a look at religion from a different perspective. That perspective is that it's just DAMN ILLOGICAL, and IRRATIONAL. One must question everything. Question why in their religion they do the things they do...a rational human being will find that religion is based upon blind faith... No REASON what so ever. People need to develop some serious critical analysis and thinking skills.
