At least not on the album version. Then I tried listening to the take-away and some live versions. In those it was pretty clear to me that he was saying "Nantes", but pronouncing it phonetically French ([nɑ̃ːt], something like "nontuh"). Then again, did Jimi Hendrix say "Kiss the sky" or "Kiss this guy"? The world may never know... ;)

I know, I thought so too, but he definately does. If you listen carefully. Zach is a sneakasaurus ;) I'd like to hear how it sounded in German..?

That translation is pretty awesome, maybe I should try doing it in German? If I still remember any, heh... And it sounds a lot more like he sings "in Nantes" to me, though I guess neither one would detract from the beauty of the song. :)

Is this the translations in Spanish? You lingustic genius! Though I must point out, and I'm not being critical, that the part where it's sounds like he sings "Just another night in Nantes", he infact sings "Just another night to mourn to".

This song is so wonderful and has such meaning for me, the first time I heard it was on a playlist a girl I spent the night with put on while we made love... I'll never separate this song from that experience.
