What breaks her heart is that she was so guarded as not to let anyone in. She says: "spose we never fell in love?" She would have never let her guard down. The whole video is in black and white to symbolize how bland her life was until she let her guard down and "shattered the heart." Then color was thrusted into her life. Thus he appears there, because truly he was there all the time, she just couldn't see him.

I don't get the ending.. Maybe I'm just being dense... So the song is called Fidelity and the song goes about how Regina's heart would not be hurting so much if she never met the "guy"?? I don't get it :/ I guess it could mean that what's breaking her heart is "all of these voices" telling her something about the boy and she doesn't want to believe it... ? So idk. The guy's a great actor!!! He's like a doll when he blinks as she touches him and Regina's so cute when she looks into the camera!

Youtube is a space for gathering. It's a space for collaboration and it's a space for COMMUNITY. These people who are "talking mexican or whatever" have found something they have in common and them expressing their interests does not take anything away from the beauty of this video or that of Regina Spektor. So why comment on frivolities like the way these people have chosen to communicate? At least theyre enjoying the video and whats even better is theyre enjoying themselves! Well bye.
