Elis era uma artista brilhante e muito sensível, parece-me que asi devemos recordá-la, a parte das drogas foi só uma parte dela, e ademas não é ningun defeito ter problemas com as drogas ou a depresiòn,é algo triste se, mas não te faz menos humano ter esses problemas, me parecio um pouco pobre o comentário, e de um amarillismo barato, por sorte quase todos os comentários são de amor e de admiraciòn por tudo os que nos deixo.

é mais tem muita familia de ex exilado e ex guerrilheiro ganhando fortunas com o programa do governo pra vitimas da ditadura. Jogaram por terra toda a luta que eles empreenderam. O que dizer do Jose Dirceu, o que dizer de pagar a familia do Lamarca (bandido e desertor).

And this from the first disc she recorded with the african-sambas, Vinicius and Zé Kéti in 1964. But the fanatics of Elis Regina never accept that.

Hmm. My understanding is that Nara was one of the first (and easily the finest) female voice of bossa nova and that Elis, because she sang the first winning pop music festival song Arrastao, in 1965, is the female voice credited with kicking off MPB (clearly, she alone wasn't responsible for the movement, but her singing of Arrastao started it in a big way).
