After seeing what it looks like........I think I`ll pass on that thankyou very much. It looks like a breeding ground for scum, scammers, drunk show off thugs, and banjo playing slope heads, not to mention hippies who need to stop playing bongos and get a job.

yeahi saw some idiots who were absolutely plastered being really cliche playing the guitar on the curb but they were having fun i guesse. i wouldnt let it put me off going there are many other places other than Khaosan road which isnt really a true picture of thai culture at all.

what is a looser? too many assumptions there mate. ive been and do not fit that description. you might see some people like that trying to be hip ,but that didnt stop me from doing my thing. its a beautiful place.

My first visit to Khao San was 7 years ago I saw 2 Thai men beat a western tourist he was lying on the floor but the 2 Thai men still kicking him!when his money felt out from his pocket one of the Thai men took it I was really shocked because I never seen anything like that before,the police came a few mins later and did nothing he only asked the 2 men stop beating him and not even arrest them! Me and my husband was absolutely shocked!!

but to be frank I've been living in Thailand for sometimes the local people in Khao San are ruder than everywhere else in Thailand.
